Dawn and John Grant 22nd March 2024

We remember Will initially for our adventures on Ghost Hunts, Urban Explores and Guided Walks around 2010. John, Will and I had so much fun acting like middle-aged teenagers, as part of a wider group. We got to know Will on these outings and our friendship extended beyond the wider group, with us enjoying social occasions and camping holidays. In fact, as it happened our family grew! Wills eldest son’ happened to meet his life partner on one of our walks-our daughter. We share grandchildren. How we laughed when we realised that we would be ‘forever connected’? ( when we eventually realised that we were neighbours in 1991 and admitted that we didn’t like each other, at that time). Will will be remembered for his gentlemanly ways, his loyalty. He always acted like a true gent. He didn’t suffer fools gladly. A generous man, willing to always share what he had ‘Flashing the fags’ or offering lifts. His cooking was sublime- especially his enchiladas! I remember the time the ‘Grannetts’ came together for Christmas- slaved for hours but it was Will’ ‘secret gravy recipe’ that stole the show! His camo-wear, his safari hats, love of (quality) coffee, Billy Joel, Sylvester Stallone, Ken Dodd, ‘Tom and Jerry’ are just some of the reminders of Will enjoyed and will be remembered by us, forever. A true friend. A fellow Grand-parent. ‘Daddy Will’ to our daughter. We love you. xxx
